I’m an addicted quilter and fabriholic. I live in Saskatoon and started quilting over 20 years ago. I’ve done many other fibre arts, such as embroidery and knitting but once I started quilting, it took over and I couldn’t be happier. I love the colours and textures found in fabric and embellishments. I still do some traditional quilts but I’m passionate about applique, landscape fibre art, and the new ideas and patterns available today.
My quilts have won two ribbons and one Viewer’s Choice Award. My work is available through the Backdoor Gallery in Saskatoon. Affirmation is always good!
I particularly enjoy designing my own items and two of my original designs have been published in Fons and Porter quilt magazines.
I’m also a published author with six books – five fiction and one nonfiction. I’ve been teaching Creative Writing for over thirty years, and I teach a variety of quilt classes. I love teaching because I always learn something.
